On the 22nd of January 2021, the WENRA Chair, Olivier Gupta, met with Karla Petrová (SÚJB, Czech Republic), his counterpart from HERCA, the Association of the Heads of the European Radiological protection Competent Authorities.

This meeting was the opportunity for the two associations to share information on their respective current and planned activities and to identify areas where further exchanges and cooperation might be needed.

WENRA and HERCA Chairs have highlighted the importance to reinforce their relationships. They agreed to have a more in-depth discussion in the near future, especially on the current status of the implementation of the common “HERCA-WENRA Approach for better cross-border coordination of protective actions during the early phase of a nuclear accident” published in 2014.
